I was a synchronized swimmer (now called artistic swimming) throughout middle school, high school, and college, where I competed at collegiate nationals.

Experience

As the leader of the firm’s cyber advisory services team, I help solve our clients’ information security issues and help them mature their cybersecurity programs. I’m responsible for the seven-point cybersecurity assessments, framework assessments, incident response services, governance, risk, and compliance. I also head the cybersecurity due diligence projects in collaboration with the information technology consulting and transaction advisory services teams.

My clients appreciate that I’m always available to talk, open to new ideas, up to date on cybersecurity issues and trends, and that I bring empathy and understanding to their cybersecurity issues.

At the office, I’m known for organizing Friday team lunches, helping staff with their goals, and being available to talk about anything and everything.

I was initially attracted to this career because I like problem solving, have always been interested in technology, and am a planner. Helping clients plan how to respond to incidents or plan future cyber projects comes naturally to me.

With more than 10 years of experience, I’m often asked to speak to clients, boards, and industry conferences about the state of cybersecurity and emerging cybersecurity threats. I recently spoke at the firm’s Nonprofit Summit about cybersecurity risk. I’m a member of ISACA, SIM, ISC2, and Women in Manufacturing. I graduated from Miami University (Ohio) with a B.S. in accounting and a minor in management information systems.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 3-year-old daughter. I love reading — last year I read over 70 books— traveling, yoga, and trying new restaurants.
